All staff are technically trained for more then 3 months before they are tasked with taking customers through the buying process. Mr Stoves manufactures the Vogue range of wood heaters in Brisbane (and have been doing so locally since 1990), so we literally know wood heaters inside and out! We also have thorough knowledge and understanding of legal obligations, safety requirements, and Australian standards relating to heaters.
Dedicated Installers:
Mr Stoves has our own team of dedicated fireplace installers and gas fitters. We can ensure your project from concept through to completion. We organise the installation for you and will give you a specific day and time that suits your schedule. Mr Stoves guarantees the work of our installers and ensures you will be more than happy with the finished product.
Australian Made Products:
Mr Stoves is the proud manufacturer of the Vogue range of wood heaters, which are designed, manufactured, and sold in Brisbane and have been since 1990. Our excellent range of heaters are certified Australian made and are manufactured from Australian BlueScope steel. As they are locally made, they are more affordable then imported fireplaces, better quality, and have complete local product support. They are designed by Queenslanders for Queenslanders. When looking for a wood heater, it can be difficult know what questions to ask in order ensure you get the correct heater for your home and a reasonable package price. As such, we have devised some questions you should be asking your fireplace salesperson when looking to buy. Your fireplace salesperson should be able to answer all of the questions below.
1. What are the installation costs to my area?
We recommend having your fireplace installed by a professional, as this will eliminate any safety risks posed by self-installation. We have our own team of installers and can give you the exact cost of the installation prior to purchase.
2. Is the flue kit included in this price?
You will need a flue kit for your new fireplace. We include a free standard flue kit with all our heaters, as this will be required for installation. Many companies do not include the flue in their price in order to keep their advertised prices down and instead tack this price on after quoting.
3. Where is this fireplace manufactured?
The most durable fireplaces in the world are manufactured in Australia, Canada, or Europe. We recommend asking where the fireplace is manufactured rather then where the brand is sold. Many heaters are manufactured cheaply overseas and sold locally under the pretence of an Australian-sold product. Asking this question will ensure you get the best quality heater for your home.
4. What is the warranty on this firebox?
Modern wood heaters should be designed to last 20 to 30 years. All good quality brands have a firebox of 10+ years. We recommend asking your salesperson the warranty period to confirm before you buy. The Vogue range of heaters all feature a 15-year firebox warranty.
5. Does this include delivery and if so, how much?
Many companies will not include the delivery to site in the installation cost and charge exuberant fees on top of the installation cost (or expect the customer to arrange delivery to site). Our installation teams' pickup your heater from our warehouse and deliver to site for no additional cost.
6. If I have a problem, do I call you or the installer to resolve it?
At Mr Stoves, we organise and liaise with the installer for you, offering a full package from concept to install. If you have a problem and need help, call us on 3375 1464 and we will organise to have it resolved for you. We speak with the installers directly, so you always have a single point of contact if you need help. We do not expect our customers to have to speak with the installers or manufactures to resolve issues.
7. Is the heater you recommend correctly sized for my home?
There are several factors that need to be considered when sizing a heater for a home. This includes house size, heat loss factors, insulation, suburb, and much more. You should ask your salesperson what factors they have used to ensure the heater is the correct size for your home. Our team at Mr Stoves is technically trained and we have great knowledge of how to choose the correctly sized heater for any home.
